SBJC thanks Irving Epstein this memorial Day weekend, for always making sure that our American and Israeli flags are in good condition. Once again he noticed some fraying on one of our flags and speedily provided us with a new one. By doing this, Irving contributes to our being good neighbors in the Baldwin community. Likewise we thank John for keeping the American flag lowered during the Covid-19 Pandemic, while insuring the Israeli flag remains at a proper height.

Each one of us, supporting our synagogue in their own special way is how we continue to come together during these times that are keeping us apart.

We look forward to resuming some of our services in the near future and in the meantime we hope you are taking advantage of Rabbi Shaffin's services and classes on Zoom. Stay safe, follow social distancing, wear your face covering in public and we will hopefully get through this shortly.

Good Afternoon:

This email is just to let know that the office at SBJC will be closed on Monday May 25th 2020 for Memorial day.

Building will be closed.

Dear Friends

Our Shabbaton, weekend that was scheduled for May 15th - May 16th 2020 at South Baldwin Jewish Center has been postponed. We will keep you posted on our new dates. Be well, stay healthy everyone.

Best Regards,
Dona and Ted Schwab Committee Members.

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to send out a note to all the congregants. As you know all activities have been cancelled at SBJC for the time being. I also, want to say that I am at the office and if there is anything we can do for you please call me. I am sitting here lonely too missing all my friends. If there is anything we can do for you whether its running out to the market or pharmacy, or anything, please let me know. I will make sure you get what you need. Morning minyan will be on Friday at 7:50am and Shabbat services will be at 8:00pm on Friday nights and morning Shabbat services at 9:30am. We haven't stopped praying.

Best regards and take care of yourselves.
Love, Ozzie

Good morning on this cold Winter day.

I know not all of you are social media fans and do not go on Facebook etc. That is fine and I address this to those that do regularly check in on Facebook.

Quite a few of you "Like" our SBJC page: and are on the feed.

I implore the rest of you to at least look at our page and "Like" it if you think the content is of interest to you. The page has almost every Email and Event that you would be interested in knowing about as well as interesting articles and links to other Temples and Jewish organizations in our area. Take a look and see for yourself.

Also our website has a link to the current calendar as well as the entire current Centerpost.

I will also be glad to post any relevant events that you are involved in as well as any interesting articles that you believe the members would enjoy reading. Just send an email to the office or a private message to our Facebook page.

Good afternoon,

Since there have been scheduling conflicts at SBJC in the past months, we want to remind everyone of the procedure necessary to insure your event, meeting, kiddush etc. takes place on the date you want.

1. No one can schedule ANYTHING without checking with the OFFICE first to see if the date is available.

2. If the date is available you must fill out the event form, so that the appropriate people are aware of what needs to be done for the function. This insures that we have the person responsible, the type of event, and what is requested from staff. NO this does not get filled out the day before.

3. If this is not done, and the event is not on the calendar, the event does not exist! No I told so and so - No - We always do this on such and such etc.

Best regards
Evelyn & Jeff
