Congregants Good Afternoon,

Please join us Motzei Shabbat at South Baldwin Jewish Center as we remember what happened to us as a nation on the Ninth of Av. Tisha B'av. Services will begin at 8:45pm.

We will be davening the Ma'ariv and do Havdallah and then we will be reading Eichah. Minyan on Sunday morning will be at 9:30 am in the chapel.

For those people who will be paying a Shiva call to the Wolk family this week in the evening and are willing to take a few of our congregants with them, can you please contact the office. We have a few people who have difficulty driving in the evening.

The Congregation regrets to inform you that Walter(Wally) Wolk, husband of Fritzi Wolk, passed away Sunday June 10th. The funeral will be graveside at Beth Moses Cemetery 1500 Wellwood Ave. (Exit 35 SS Pkwy) Farmingdale, New York, June 12, promptly at 10:30 a.m.

Shiva will be observed beginning Tuesday, June 12 through June 18, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 p.m and 7:30 p.m to 9:30 p.m, at the Wolk home, 1559 Kenneth Ave, Baldwin. Minyanim at 8:00pm. Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and Sunday. Friday, Shiva will end at 4:00 p.m.

There will be a Minyan at the conclusion of Shabbat, time and place to be announced. Sunday morning Minyan will be held at the Synagogue at 9:30 a.m in the Chapel.


Mah Jongg meets on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.

Folk dancing meets on Wednesdays at 10:30am. Newcomers are always welcome to either group.
